We had to grab a tissue today as Barbara Brown was reunited with Flint McDonald's employee Desiree Gilder, who saved her life and performed CPR during a recent medical emergency. Desiree was honored for her heroic efforts and received a Certificate of Lifesaving from McDonald’s.

She’s worked at McDonald’s for 27 years and was recently honored with the prestigious Ray Kroc Award for excellence. The award is given to the top one percent of McDonald's general managers. She’s worked at McDonald’s since she was a teenager and is now a mentor to younger employees. “I enjoy teenagers that come in and are scared to work, because we make it fun for them, teach them and show them.
